A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Elder Law Attorney Glen Kyle has easily settled into East Tennessee. Before attending law school, Glen traveled extensively in Europe and lived in Edinburgh, Scotland. Glen earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Rutgers University in 2005. After graduating, Glen worked in retail banking for nine years during which he developed strong relationships with older adults in the Murfreesboro community.
Throughout his banking career, Glen saw the need for our society to protect older adults from financial exploitation. These experiences led him to earn a law degree from the only Tennessee University with an Elder Law Legal Clinic. That clinic is located at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Through the Elder Law Clinic and elder law classes, Glen graduated with a working knowledge of Estate planning, Medicaid, Medicare and more. In addition to being an honor student, Glen was elected by peers and professors to be the Business Editor of the Memphis Law Review.
Glen is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Knoxville Estate Planning Council, the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association.
Glen loves the natural beauty of East Tennessee and takes advantage of our beautiful days by hiking, fishing, and camping…he is an Eagle Scout, after all! Glen is an avid college football fan, enjoys reading , studying history, traveling and playing darts and trivia with friends.
During my career as a banker, I worked closely with numerous elderly individuals. Often, they would come to me for help with issues related to financial exploitation, estate planning, aging, and medical care. I learned how crucial these issues are, and how little I could do to help them without a law degree. So, I enrolled in one of the few law schools with a dedicated Elder Law Clinic so that I help solve these problems.
